The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has deployed its National Response Team to Los Angeles to investigate a series of fires set during recent anti-ICE demonstrations in downtown L.A.
Amid protests in Los Angeles this weekend, several several Waymo robotaxis were set on fire.As the LA Times reports, the protests are in response to the raids being carried out by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the city.
Waymo said it had temporarily halted service in downtown Los Angeles after several of its cars were torched during protests.
While the president contends that the L.A. protests against his immigration policy have been chaotic, the scenes are not as violent.
