Atlanta Falcons veteran tackle Jake Matthews is fully confident in "ogre mentality" Kaleb McGary to protect the blindside of quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is hoping he landed his next franchise quarterback in Michael Penix Jr. "I think it's important to remember he only has three games as a professional quarterback, as an NFL quarterback," Blank said during Saturday's press conference. "I think he's smart as heck, he's a really good leader, he works hard.

Michael Penix Jr. is still in the early stages of his NFL career. The Atlanta Falcons' lefty QB got a few starts at the end of last season, and now he's heading into the 2025 campaign as the unquestioned starting quarterback.
