K-pop supergroup BTS made their long awaited return to the stage Saturday with a performance at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, marking the band’s first appearance together in nearly four years.

BTS has returned as a full group with a huge, free concert in Seoul after a four-year break. The K-pop band played new songs and big hits, and fans packed the streets and waved light sticks.

Organizers expected to draw a crowd approaching a quarter-million people, making it one of the largest public music events ever held in South Korea.

BTS will stage its long-awaited comeback concert on Saturday night at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square. The square is one of South Korea’s most famous landmarks, representing its royal heritage as well as its political and cultural life.

The featured sing from BTS's comeback album "Arirang" soared to the top of YouTube's trending chart shortly after its release on Friday.
