Twins' Byron Buxton: Remaining on bench Monday
Buxton (rib) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox. Buxton will miss a second straight start but is considered day-to-day while he continues to recover from left rib cartilage irritation. With Buxton on the bench Monday, DaShawn Keirsey will draw the start in center field and bat ninth.
Buxton exited after the sixth inning Saturday with left side soreness. He is scheduled to undergo medical imaging Sunday.
