President Donald Trump says he’s eyeing the elimination of capital-gains tax on home sales as a way to coax more people into selling their homes, amid a housing market that’s been frozen for nearly three years by high prices and high interest rates.

In comments to the press on Tuesday, President Donald Trump suggested he is considering eliminating capital gains taxes on the sale of homes.

The capital gains tax on homes hasn’t changed in roughly 30 years, but the National Association of Realtors has been pushing for it.
