LAKE ST LOUIS, Mo. — Costco is pursuing a sixth store in the St. Louis region. The Seattle-based wholesale retailer has filed to rezone land in Lake Saint Louis to build a new Costco Warehouse and gas station, city filings show.

Costco is rolling out membership-scanning devices at the entrance of its warehouse stores. Members must scan either their physical membership card or their digital card (QR code) using the barcode/QR scanner at the door. An attendant is typically stationed at the door to help with the scanning process.
