Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is returning to his alma mater, Weber State, to serve as the general manager, the team announced Saturday night.

Nine-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard, who returned to the Portland Trail Blazers last month, announced on Saturday night a second, official position as general manager of the men's basketball program at his alma mater Weber State.

A nine-time NBA All-Star, Lillard re-signed with the Trail Blazers last month after he was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks. The 35-year-old currently is rehabbing from a left Achilles tendon tear suffered in April and is unlikely to play in 2025-26.
