The Cleveland Guardians have identified a fan who "crossed the line" while taunting Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran during Sunday afternoon's game at Progressive Field, the team announced. The fan left the stadium immediately after the incident, but the Guardians are aware of the person's identity, according to Cleveland.com.

The Cleveland Guardians broadcast said that the fan had been escorted out of the stands after making some pointed comments in the direction of the Red Sox outfielder.

Duran became the first Red Sox player with a straight steal of home since Jacoby Ellsbury did it exactly 16 years ago (April 26, 2009) against the Yankees. The leadoff hitter went 3-for-5 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs in the Red Sox’ 7-3 victory over the Guardians in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday.
