Two people were killed and three others were injured, including a state trooper, in a series of shootings in Kentucky, authorities said.

Two people have been fatally shot at a church in Kentucky after a car chase that began with a gunman shooting and injuring a police officer, officials said.

The trooper was shot at 11:36 a.m. in Fayette County, where Lexington is located, state police said.
