Five skiers were transported to the hospital Monday after an “incident” on a chair lift at Heavenly ski resort in Lake Tahoe, according to Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Bryce Cranch.

The Tahoe Douglas Fire Department told KTVU-TV that five people were taken to Renown Hospital in Reno around 10 a.m. It’s not know whether they are injured. In a statement to SFGATE on Monday, the resort confirmed that an “incident” occurred on the Comet Express chairlift but did not elaborate on details.
