The hype surrounding Texas quarterback Arch Manning is nearing unbelievable levels, some warranted, and some unjustified heading into the 2025 college football season. Once hyped up as one of the greatest high school quarterback recruits of all time, the expectations were set incredibly high well before Manning stepped foot in Austin, Texas.

The past two decades have seen Cam Newton take over the sport and Robert Griffin III set it on fire. Johnny Manziel was as talented as he was polarizing, and Trevor Lawrence was penciled in as the first pick before setting foot on campus. Manning threw two interceptions against Louisiana-Monroe.

For the last 29 years, the Manning family has organized an instructional event for high school quarterbacks. The Manning Passing Academy has been held on the campus of Nicholls State University for the past 20 years, and the top quarterbacks in the college game are annually invited to serve as camp counselors.
