Michigan football already got one transfer portal commitment on Sunday with former UMass and Arizona wide receiver Anthony Simpson pledging to the maize and blue. But the Wolverines weren’t done getting transfer portal pledges on the day.

Former UMass wide receiver Anthony Simpson pledged to join Michigan football via the transfer portal on Sunday night, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder is the second receiver Michigan has landed in the transfer portal this cycle, joining Indiana’s Donaven McCulley. He also is the 12th portal addition overall.

Former Arizona and UMass transfer wide receiver Anthony Simpson was the latest addition, committing to the Big Ten powerhouse on Sunday, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. Simpson played his first two seasons at the collegiate level, from 2021 to 2022, with the Arizona Wildcats. He then transferred to UMass and played the last two seasons with the Minutemen.

Simpson, who spent two seasons at Arizona before transferring to UMass, is the second receiver the Wolverines have added from the transfer portal.

Michigan football has been more active in the transfer portal this year than perhaps any other, but some of the names of those who have come to Ann Arbor aren’t necessarily as well-known as what we’ve seen other teams get.
