The Minnesota Vikings have released a statement on the assassination of Rep. Melissa Hordman and her husband, Mark.

Authorities asked for the public’s help in finding Vance Boelter. A nephew said John and Yvette Hoffman were both in stable condition as they recover from surgery.

Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed, and state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife were wounded in politically motivated shootings overnight, Gov. Tim Walz said Saturday. Authorities have also identified a suspect who is still at large.

The deadly, politically motivated shooting in Minnesota has a connection to the Triangle. Mark Hortman, the husband of Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman, was a Raleigh native. The Hortmans were shot and killed in an attack at their home in suburban Minneapolis early Saturday.

Vance Luther Boelter, the suspect accused of carrying out a deadly attack on state senators and lawmakers on Saturday, allegedly had a long list of Minnesota Democrats he was targeting.
