Liverpool's Mo Salah has become the first footballer to win the PFA Player of the Year for a third time. Announced during a ceremony in Manchester on Tuesday evening, the Egyptian is now the first person to receive the prize for a third time, following his successes in 2017-18 and 2021-22.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year, while Mariona Caldentey, the Arsenal forward, won the women’s Player of the Year award. Salah has now won the top individual prize in English football three times thanks to his starring role in Liverpool ’s title win last term.
