“My Mind Is a Mountain” is a pummeling new entry in the Sacramento band’s singles catalog, with the quickened tempo and immediate harmonies recalling some of the band’s most beloved early tracks. The song was teased on Deftones’ social accounts throughout the week before its title was revealed on Thursday morning.

Deftones are set to drop their new album private music next month, with lead single my mind is a mountain out now.

The Australian singer-songwriter’s new album, “I Want My Loved Ones To Go With Me,” is out Friday in time for her L.A. show at the Ford Theater.

The band will also play shows this summer with Phantogram, Idles, System of a Down, and the Barbarians of California
