You can never say Shedeur Sanders is lacking for confidence. Hours before the likely final game of his collegiate career at the Alamo Bowl, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback showed off custom cleats with the logo and colors of the New York Giants, who just happen to be the current owners of the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Shedeur Sanders hinted at the possibility of being drafted by the New York Giants with his cleats for the Alamo Bowl.

The Giants are in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL Draft. If they lose out in the final two weeks — at home against the Colts and then on the road in Philadelphia — they’ll lock up that pick.

In particular, we’re keeping a close eye on Miami’s Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders of Colorado and both of those players will have their bowl games today. First we’ll get to see 13th-ranked Miami take on 18th-ranked Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
