Lando Norris crashed into McLaren team-mate and Formula 1 title rival Oscar Piastri in the latter stages of the Canadian Grand Prix, ending his hopes of scoring points
McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri battled on track during the Canadian Grand Prix, though one of the drivers was left without a front wing.
Earlier, in FP1, Charles Leclerc smashed the front corner of his SF-25, with the Ferrari gun unable to return in FP2 after his incident on turn three. Then in FP2, Lance Stroll broke his front left wheel after coming in contact with the wall in his return from a wrist injury.
Oscar Piastri could stand alone after Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix as the only Australian to win six or more races in a single Formula 1 season, but the 24-year-old has bigger and better statistics in his sights.
