President Donald Trump nominated Sergio Gor, his head of presidential personnel, as U.S. Ambassador to India on Friday, despite ongoing controversies surrounding Gor’s background and a public feud with Elon Musk over alleged federal document falsification.

Trump announced Sergio Gor as the next US Ambassador to India and Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs on Saturday (IST).

Gore, who serves as the White House personnel director and is described as a Trump loyalist, will also be the special envoy for South and Central Asian affairs.
