Tornado threat as Met Office issues red weather warnings for 100mph winds - Storm Eowyn, the first named storm of 2025, is set to bring strong winds of up to 100mph over the next few days

An incredibly rare red weather warning has been issued amid fears ‘violent storm force winds’ will batter the island. Ronaldsway Met Office has issued the warning - which means there is a threat to life - as Storm Eowyn arrives in the early hours of Friday.

The Met Office has issued a red weather warning for the Isle of Man. It comes the day before Storm Eowyn is set to hit the island. Forecasters at Ronaldsway has now confirmed that the storm will bring gusts of up to 85mph.
