Southampton have made a counter-offer to Everton for Tyler Dibling, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed. The Championship side have reportedly proposed a deal 'slightly lower' than their initial €55-65m valuation and are now awaiting a response from the Toffees.

Amid Everton’s interest, the Saints left Dibling out of their squad for a 2-1 win over Wrexham on the opening weekend of the Championship season. He was also omitted from Southampton’s 1-0 victory against Northampton Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, having not been training with Still’s squad.
