Typhoon Kalmaegi brought fierce winds and torrential rains to Vietnam on Friday, killing at least five people and leaving widespread damage across the country’s central provinces.

After five hours of battering central Vietnam on Thursday, Typhoon Kalmaegi destroyed numerous restaurants and coastal resorts in Quy Nhon, a popular beach town in central Vietnam, causing billions of dong of damage.
