The UCLA Bruins women's basketball season is inching closer and closer by the day, and Cori Close's squad is headlined by the arguable best player in college basketball -- senior center Lauren Betts.

Over a month after he was arrested, UCLA backup quarterback Pierce Clarkson has taken a major step toward being able to resolve his case.

CJ Lavender, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back out of Mater Dei High, flipped from Washington to UCLA Tuesday.
