Wipro reported a 21.2% increase in consolidated net profit for Q2 FY25, despite weak revenue guidance for the next quarter. The company continues to focus on strategic priorities, AI opportunities, and merit-based employee initiatives.

Wipro , India's fourth-largest software company, posted higher-than-expected second-quarter revenue on Thursday, helped by a revival in spending by its clients in the U.S. communications sector.

Wipro Ltd (NYSE: WIT) stock slid after reporting Q2 results with revenue of INR223.0B ($2.66B), missing analyst estimate of $2.67B, EPS in line.

The board of Wipro has also announced the issue of bonus shares in the ratio 1:1 for its shareholders. Record date for the said corporate action is yet to be determined.

During Q2 FY25, profit came at Rs 3,208.8 crore as against Rs 2,646.3 crore in the year-ago period. However, Wipro's revenue from operations fell 0.95 per cent (YoY) to Rs 22,301.6 crore from Rs 22,515.

The consolidated revenue of Wipro dropped 1% YoY to ₹22,302 crore in Q2 FY25, from ₹22,543 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Bengaluru-based IT services major Wipro posted a net profit of Rs 3,201 crore for the second quarter of FY25, up 21.3 per cent from a year ago. Profit was up 6.8 per cent quarter-on-quarter (Q-o-Q). Revenue for the March quarter was marginally down by 1 per cent from the year-ago period to Rs 22,

The IT company expects revenue from our IT Services business segment to be in the range of $2,607 million to $2,660 million in FY25.

Wipro's consolidated revenue for the July-September quarter decreased by 1%, amounting to Rs 22,302 crore, down from Rs 22,543 crore in the same quarter the previous year.
