AUSTIN, Texas — Austin won’t host a 2026 FIFA World Cup match, but one participating team will still call the city home during the tournament.
Perhaps the biggest change, as far as football is concerned, is the district placement for Lake Travis and Westlake. The powerhouse programs are now out of an Austin-based district and will compete against five Round Rock high schools in District 25-6A.
