A fraudster is soliciting bribes from parents on the online admissions placement system in exchange for placements.
In a decisive move to protect learners, the Gauteng Department of Education has closed 71 unregistered schools and continues monitoring high-risk areas to prevent their return.
Parents and former partners say they were misled about the school’s registration status, a claim now backed by the Department of Education.
The DA say this has caused uncertainty and financial pressure for parents, who now face the possibility of hiked fees.
