Disney Pulls Its Channels from YouTube TV
Disney has pulled its channels, including ESPN and ABC, from YouTube TV after the two companies failed to reach a new distribution agreement before their Thursday deadline. This is a huge deal, as subscribers will now see ESPN, ABC, Disney Channel, FX, National Geographic, and Freeform blacked out.
Later today, on October 30, Google’s deal with Disney over YouTube TV broadcasts is set to expire and, with it, take down channels such as ABC, ESPN, and more. It’s just the latest in a line of strained negotiations YouTube TV has had with major broadcast partners.
Disney's latest round of streaming service price hikes go into effect Tuesday, with price increases being spread across standalone subscriptions for Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN, as well as bundles and its live TV platform, Hulu Plus Live TV. The last time the company upped the costs of its streaming services was -- you guessed it -- October 2024.
Disney has revealed the official trailer for the upcoming original series “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.” The music-driven series premieres on Disney Channel Sept. 12, with all episodes streaming Oct. 15 on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.
