The southbound entrance to the Northway at Exit 29 will be closed as the bridge undergoes a $2.4 million rehabilitation, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office announced Friday.

The new exit 29 off I-91 had to be doubly reinforced to be safe for countless big rigs. The pandemic canceled a host of transportation projects. But officials say this one is ahead of time.

Those traveling Interstate 75 between Cincinnati and Dayton pass one of the nation’s most interesting exits — and it is very, very, very hard not to notice. I am looking at you I-75 Exit 29.
