Around 24 million people across California are under flood watches Friday morning as Los Angeles braces for what could be a month's worth of rain in a day.
A Flood Watch will go into effect for the entire Los Angeles region as the worst of the storm is expected to arrive Friday night into Saturday morning. The heavy rain brings heightened threats of flooding,
Rainfall from the first storm will last through the weekend. Forecast models show chances of rain through the weekend and into early next week. The region will get a break Wednesday with mostly sunny skies, followed by another storm forecast to move in by Wednesday night into Thursday.
