ODU’s task at hand is to prevent this two-game slide from spiraling. In each of the past seven seasons, the Monarchs have endured at least one losing streak of three or more games.

For just the second time this season, Old Dominion takes the field looking to bounce back from a loss and the Monarchs will do so against an arch rival.

The Dukes amassed 624 yards of total offense—tying the most ever allowed by an ODU team—and scored 63 points, the second-most in school history. JMU’s quarterback Alonza Barnett III completed 17 of 25 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed 17 times for 153 yards and four more scores.

The Monarchs lead the country with 14 plays of at least 40 yards, and they’re among just four teams averaging at least 250 passing yards and 230 rushing yards.
