The shooting happened about 7:00 a.m. in the 3600 block of East 36th Street, near South Alvernon Way and East Silverlake Road, Tucson police said in a news release. Officers found a man and woman shot and wounded inside a vehicle. They were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but had been stabilized by Thursday, the release said.

38-year-old Brian Thomas Babb was arrested on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Residents, staff, and guests gathered to celebrate her ageless life with cake, music and photos.
