Dan Hurley and his UConn men’s basketball staff hit big on another high school recruit. Liam McNeeley, whose commitment the Huskies landed in late April, just a few weeks after winning their second consecutive national championship,

McNeeley becomes the seventh freshman in program history and the second-consecutive Uconn player to win the prestigious award, as Stephon Castle took home the honors in 2024. He now joins a list of multiple Huskies' greats that features Rudy Gay in 2005 and Khalid El-Amin in 1998.

Solo Ball and Alex Karaban were each selected to the All-Big East Second Team, while Liam McNeeley was an All-Big East Third Team selection.
