BANGKOK (AP) — The U.S. and China have signed an agreement on trade, President Donald Trump said, adding he expects to soon have a deal with India. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told Bloomberg TV that the deal was signed earlier this week. Neither Lutnick nor Trump provided any details about the agreement.

As the U.S. and China finalized a trade agreement, Beijing pitched itself at the “Summer Davos” summit as an antidote to global economic “confusion and anxiety.”

President Trump said the United States would send out letters telling other countries “what they have to pay,” even as other officials said negotiations could be extended past a July deadline.
