Four children died Monday and others were injured when a vehicle plowed into a building housing an after-school program in the central Illinois town of Chatham, state police said.
A driver fatally struck three young people outside of YNOT After School Campin Chatham, Illinois, and killed another person inside after crashing into the building, according to Illinois State Police.
The four girls killed after a vehicle crashed into their after-school camp in Illinois have been identified by authorities. The victims included two 7-year-olds, an 8-year-old and an 18-year-old.
The car on Monday left a road, crossed a field and smashed into the side of the building in Chatham used by Youth Needing Other Things Outdoors, also known as YNOT, according to Illinois State Police.
