The longtime Vogue powerhouse told staff Thursday she’s seeking a head of editorial content to handle more of the day-to-day operations.

Anna Wintour is stepping down as editor-in-chief of American Vogue after 37 years, Variety has confirmed.

Anna Wintour is changing things up at Vogue. Wintour, who's helmed the magazine for 37 years, announced during a staff meeting June 25 that she will continue overseeing Vogue globally, but a new head of editorial content will be added at Vogue in the United States, according to a rep from Vogue's parent company Condé Nast.
