The Senate has moved one step closer to confirming Emil Bove, a controversial Trump administration official and Seneca Falls native, to a lifetime seat on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals following a razor-thin procedural vote.

The president’s court pick had discussions with Alliance Defending Freedom, which is also involved in a case that could come before Bove if he’s confirmed.
