Azharuddin was summoned by ED in connection with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, case against him for alleged misappropriation of funds during his tenure as Hyderabad Cricket Association's president. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday filed a case against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a money-laundering case linked to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.

Siddaramaiah, along with his wife BM Parvathi, and brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, have been named in an FIR registered by the Mysuru-based Lokayukta police on September 27.
