Several Minnesota police officers killed in the line of duty will be memorialized in Washington D.C. as part of National Police Week.

National Police Week is recognized as a time to remember officers who have fallen in the line of duty and recognize all law enforcement personnel for the work they do. In Rapid City, the police department and sheriff’s office combine efforts to recognize the week and its importance to all law enforcement personnel.

Police Week is May 11-17 and federal leaders are honoring law enforcement in different ways, Sen. Lee has supported two resolutions, whil Vice President Vance spoke at a Police Week breakfast.
