Five people have died after a tour bus on its way back from Niagara Falls crashed in New York state. All 54 people onboard were “ejected” or were trapped, police said, as rescuers scrambled to free passengers stuck beneath the coach.

It looked like a scene from a movie or video game, Rob Glinski said. The large white bus in front of him on the New York State Thruway had been going over 70 miles an hour when it began swerving between lanes.

Five people were killed and dozens more were injured after a tour bus returning to New York from Niagara Falls rolled over on a highway. State police said 52 people were on the bus when the driver, who was “distracted” while on the New York State Thruway, lost control of the vehicle.
