June 2 will be the only day this week with a sunny and rain-free forecast, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

Severe thunderstorms raged across North Texas Sunday, pounding the area with heavy rain, dangerous winds and destructive hail. See how golf ball-sized and baseball-sized hail ripped into cars, and find out where more than a dozen people were injured by a lightning strike.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 10 p.m., including Tarrant and Dallas counties. Hail and damaging winds are the primary threats, but the tornado risk is non-zero.  The unsettled weather pattern continues into next week.
