Texas Tech, James Madison and Oregon are the three schools that could potentially play in the Orange Bowl, a CFP quarterfinal, on Jan. 1 (noon, ESPN). Eighteen days later, the national championship game will be held at Hard Rock Stadium for the second time in the CFP era.

From the college football playoff to the Duke's Mayo Bowl, we break it all down heading into championship weekend.

The bowl schedule kicks off with the HBCU Celebration Bowl on Dec. 13 and goes all the way until Jan. 2. The College Football Playoff carries us from there all the way to Jan. 19, when two teams will vie for a national championship in Miami Gardens, Florida.
