The three venues in Pakistan - Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore - are far from being ready for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which has forced in shift of ODI tri-series venue by PCB.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have shifted the venue for the upcoming ODI tri-nation series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Given the advanced stage of preparations at Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium, the PCB has decided to relocate the upcoming tri-nation ODI series to these two venues,' the PCB release said on Wednesday.

Pakistan last hosted a major international tournament in the 1996 World Cup, and has already been dogged by problems to their stadiums. The ICC is also wary of the situation, hoping not to repeat the logistical disappointments faced in the USA during last year’s T20 World Cup.

Besides announcing that renovation work at the Karachi’s National Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium is in ‘advanced stage,’ the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also stated that an upcoming ODI tri-series,
