Hundreds of Iowa City residents descended on City Park to honor John Lewis by making "Good Trouble" to protest President Donald Trump's policies.

The day of action is dubbed “Good Trouble Lives On,” in reference to Lewis’s call for people in America to participate in “good trouble” by speaking out and taking action against

The “Good Trouble Lives On” national day of action honors the late congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis. Protests are expected to be held along streets, at court houses and other public spaces. Organizers are calling for them to be peaceful.

The gatherings invoked the Civil Rights leader’s memory while offering another venue for groups protesting the Trump administration this year.
