The Saints are trading wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to the Seahawks, according to NFL Network. As PFT noted over the weekend, a Shaheed trade before the deadline was viewed as firmly in play, and it got done with about three hours before the 4 p.m. ET Tuesday deadline.

Instead, the Saints got a better return for Shaheed which they can use right away. Seattle is sending their 2026 picks in Rounds 4 and 5, which is a stronger haul than we've seen in a couple of recent wide receiver trades.

The Saints shouldn't just give away Shaheed, but Pittsburgh might be a team desperate enough to give New Orleans a good return because it wants to win now and maximize Rodgers.
