The wife of late San Diego Padres owner Peter Seidler, Sheel Seidler, sued brothers-in-law Matthew and Robert on Monday, attempting to prevent another brother, John, from taking control of the team rather than her.

Sheel Seidler sued her brothers in law, a suit including a note purported written by Peter Seidler, who died in 2023, listing Sheel and their children as his preference for future control of the team.

The San Diego Padres are facing a battle for ownership of the team. Perhaps adding to the drama is that this is a family conflict.
