Air India Express said a flight from Dubai to Jaipur made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport due to a bomb threat.

In a chilling series of events, bomb threats were reported on 10 flights across India today (October 19), sending passengers and authorities into a state of high alert. Among the affected flights, five belonged to Indigo Airlines, one of the country’s leading carriers.

Vistara flight bound for London from Delhi, was diverted to Frankfurt after a bomb threat. It has landed safely at Frankfurt Airport, the airline said on Saturday.

In a statement early Saturday morning, an airline spokesperson said the flight landed safely at the Frankfurt airport and mandatory checks are being conducted. The flight will continue to its destination once cleared by the security agencies.

And IndiGo flight 6E 108, operating from Hyderabad to Chandigarh received a security alert on October 19, the airline said on Saturday. Upon landing at its destination, the aircraft was isolated, and all customers were disembarked safely.

Over 20 flights of various Indian airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air, received bomb threats on Saturday. Authorities are investigating the threats, which have disrupted air travel.

With these incidents, the number of confirmed instances of bomb threats to Indian carriers’ flights this week has risen to over 45.

Three international flights of Vistara airline that received bomb threats turned out to be hoaxes while one of the aircrafts was diverted to Frankfurt as a precautionary measure, officials said on Saturday.

Paris, Delhi-Hong Kong and Delhi-London that took off on October 18 received bomb threats. Although two flights landed safely in Hong Kong and Paris, the Delhi-London flight was diverted to Frankfurt,

The aircraft will continue its journey to London after receiving clearance from security agencies, the spokesperson said.
