A US court has ruled that Google won’t be forced to sell Chrome or Android as part of its antitrust case with the Department of Justice.

A court will not force Google to sell off its Chrome browser or Android, a federal judge said in a court filing on Tuesday. The decision serves as a significant win for the tech company, which has avoided the most extreme possible outcome from a landmark antitrust case that determined the company was operating an illegal online search monopoly.

Alphabet’s Google does not have to sell its Chrome web browser but must share some of its search and other data with competitors, a federal judge decided in the Justice Department’s landmark case against the search giant.
