Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell understands the job he signed up for. In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, O'Connell was asked to weigh in on the New York Jets' decision to fire coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday, just days after the Vikings beat the Jets 23-17 on Sunday in London.

Since Rex Ryan was at the helm from 2009-14 -- where he led the organization to back-to-back AFC Championship appearances -- the three head coaches following him (Todd Bowles, Adam Gase and Saleh) have failed to even reach the playoffs, combining for a 53-99 record since 2015, one of the worst in the NFL during that stretch.

The New York Jets are moving on from their head coach, as they made the decision to fire Robert Saleh on Tuesday, CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones confirms. Jones also reports that Jets defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will serve as the interim head coach.
