BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A blizzard warning was issued for southwest Louisiana Tuesday morning as a strong line of snow moved into the state from the west.

Portions of Texas and the northern Gulf Coast are on alert for the potential for severe weather this week from a powerful cross-country storm that’s expected to dump heavy snow in the Southwest and Rockies.

Over 10,000 kids have participated in the program since 2009, performing more than 75 shows for the community.
