The Los Angeles Chargers might be winning during the NFL’s head coach hiring cycle because they aren’t losing coaches (and Jim Harbaugh doesn’t have plans to make changes to his coaching staff). But they might just lose a key member of the front office.
Through the first week of their coaching search, the Dallas Cowboys’ list of interviews is coming into focus. But as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport pointed out, they will be Rooney Rule compliant by Monday night.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Chargers are reportedly signing former Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott. According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Chargers will sign "Zeke" to the practice squad.
The Cowboys released Elliott on Dec. 31 ahead of the team’s season finale, ending his second stint in Dallas after appearing in 15 games this year. Elliott had originally been drafted by the Cowboys in 2015 and played eight years with Dallas before being released after the 2022 season.
Elliott is reportedly being signed to the Chargers' practice squad, but "with the hope" that he can get up to speed quickly with the playoffs looming. Los Angeles, which is set to face Houston in the first round of the playoffs, already has a pair of veteran running backs in its backfield, but Elliott will add some depth to Jim Harbaugh's squad.
