MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Coco Gauff still hasn't lost a match or even at set at the Australian Open — or, actually, this season. She moved into the fourth round at Melbourne Park with a straightforward 6-4, 6-2 victory over 2021 U.S. Open runner-up Leylah Fernandez on Friday night.

The 23-year-old Fearnley, ranked 92nd, defeated Australian Nick Kyrgios in straight sets in the first overseas Grand Slam match of his fledgling career. "All things considered I think it has to be the best match I've ever played," said Fearnley, who only left university last April.

Meanwhile, Fearnley reached the third round on his Australian Open debut with a comeback victory over Arthur Cazaux. Fearnley dropped the first set after a rain delay but the Scot did not blink and came back to win 3-6 7-5 6-2 6-3. His astonishing rise will continue when he plays the second seed Alexander Zverev for a place in the last-16.
